Who we are

The company began as an in-house venture of Say Sabio in San Mateo, Rizal, Philippines. Long before that, she coined the company’s name by combining two characters: Abdiel (Hebrew עֲבְדִּיאֵל) meaning “Servant of God” and Apps (may refer to Computing) meaning Mobile/Web app and/or Application Software. According to Sabio, the company’s name was inspired by her Bible reading. Abdiel is mentioned a single time in 1 Chronicles 5:15, “Ahi the son of Abdiel, son of Guni, was chief in their fathers’ houses,..” (ESV)

AbdielApps’ logo, designed by Matthew Barrientos, depicts a Halo ( Greek: ἅλως; also known as a nimbus, aureole, glory, or gloriole) or a ring of light that surrounds a person in the art to indicate holy or sacred figures, and have at various periods also been used in images of rulers or heroes. It presented hues of blue, as often associated with the coolness of the sky and seas, notable as the most popular corporate colour and used frequently for online businesses.
